Master Plan

The Master Plan Committee have been extremely busy working with our project teams on constructions now taking place and into the future.

The latest Masterplan Project now underway is the second multi-purpose classroom block on the William Cowper Campus. This design complements the adjacent building that opened in 2021 and will incorporate general purpose classrooms, music rehearsal spaces, our Independent Learning Centre, a Year 7 – 9 office, staff rooms and 350-seat tiered amphitheatre.

The new classroom block will serve as a link between the Junior School and our Ƶapp7-9 spaces. This new facility will house purpose built music and theatre spaces that are able to be used for performance and teaching across the whole School (Prep to Year 12). It is now taking shape adjacent to the Annie Parr Building and its design and aesthetic will match this existing building.

Construction is now complete on the long awaited car park and adjacent footpaths, lighting and landscaping. This project delivered an extra 177 car spaces and it will soon be complemented with a new bus shelter.

Other significant upgrades and developments have been completed, including the new Sport Courts on the William Cowper Campus and upgrades to existing facilities in all parts of the School. With the Brisbane Street Campus celebrating 100 years on the historic site last year, work continues year round to enhance the campus for Senior years. We remain committed to providing excellent classroom and boarding environments for all students.

Throughout 2024 and beyond the Master Planning Committee has been collecting information to guide the planning for years ahead. Included in this are discussions with Boarding (both on Brisbane Street and Simpson House, incorporating facilities for boys and girls) and the Tangara Trade Training Centre, looking into how these facilities might support the School of the Future.

A full version of the ƵappMaster Plan will be released to the School community in the near future.

Robert Faithfull, Calrossy’s Former Chief Operating Officer

With enrolment numbers continuing to grow, ƵappPrincipal David Smith said, “The classroom block will be a worthwhile addition to Calrossy’s teaching and learning spaces for students from Kindergarten to Year 9.  It will also provide additional theatre space for use across the whole school, with specialised areas for Learning Support, Music and performance”.

Ƶappis grateful for the work of the ƵappFoundation in supporting this project and funding from the Federal Government's Block Grant Authority, who will contribute $980 000 to the construction of this additional facility.
